The Board and Executive Management Team(EMT) of Forestry Commission, led by the Board Chairman, Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, who is also the Omanhene of Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area, has paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at Manhyia Palace. The call was to officially introduce the newly inaugutated FC Board to Asantehene and seek his counsel on how to effectively manage the nation’s forest cover.
The Asantehene congratulated the Commission for the great work done in 2021, and tasked them to put measures in place to fight forest illegality, Rosewood menace and climate change. He mentioned his availability to support the Forestry Commission at all times. The Board Chairman, Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, thanked Asantehene for the warm reception and assured him that his counsel will be taken in good faith
