The Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission has launched its first Ecotourism Handbook at the Shai Hills Resource Reserve.

The Handbook, which was published to support, promote and advertise the country’s ecoutorism sites and streamline products and facilities for tourists ,was launched by the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor, MP.

The ceremony was graced by the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Benito Owusu Bio; the District Chief Executive of Shai Osudoku, Hon. Fred Offei Twum; Chief of Dodowa, Okukrubuor Nene Tei Kwesi Agyemang V, and other chiefs and queen mothers of the Shai Traditional Council.
Members of the Forestry Commision Board including the Chief Executive , Mr. John Allotey; his Deputies, Executive Directors, Directors, and staff of the Commision as well as some tourism stakeholders were at the launch. Pupils from selected basic schools in the Shai Hills community and a section of the general public were also part of the successful event.
