The Executive Management Team of Forestry Commission, led by Mr. Nyadia Sulemana Nelson, the Deputy Chief Executive, has received the Advisory Board of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources at the Commission’s Head office in Accra.
The Board was warmly welcomed by Mr. Nyadia Sulemana Nelson on behalf of the Chief Executive, Mr. John Allotey, who was engaged in other official duties outside the office. He expressed his appreciation to the Board for making time to visit the Commission.
Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI, Chairperson of the Board and Paramount Chief of Assin Owirenkyi Traditional Area, said the Board was at the Commission to learn about its operations and challenges and proffer solutions.
On behalf of the Chief Executive, the Manager for Corporate Planning, Mr. Gordon Kofi Sarfo-Adu, made a presentation on the Commission’s achievements for 2021, after which the floor was opened for interactions. Members of the Advisory Board asked questions pertaining to the presentation made and on other issues concerning the operations of Forestry Commission. Members also made suggestions for improvement in the Commission’s work.
Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim IV thanked the Commission for the warm reception and very impressive presentation. He also appreciated the interactive session, which he said had given them a lot of information and had cleared some grey areas in their minds. He assured the EMT that the Board’s doors are always opened for more discussions on how to further improve the Commission’s work.
