The Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources in charge of Lands and Forestry, Hon. Benito Owusu – Bio, has expressed his profound gratitude to the millions of people who participated in the 2022 Edition of the Green Ghana Day (GGD) planting. He made this known when he addressed the media at a press conference held at the Forestry Commission’s auditorium to update them on post GGD.
Hon. Owusu-Bio beseeched Ghanaians to make conscious efforts to nurture the seedlings to maturity.
The Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Mr. John Allotey gave a presentation on provisional figures of the GGD and indicated that, a whopping 22,671,696 seedlings have been distributed across the country, indicating that, the target of 20 million seedlings intended to be planted on GGD has been exceeded.
