The Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Mr. John Allotey ,has assured the chiefs and people of Busunu in the Savannah Region that the Forestry Commission will help in some developmental projects being undertaken in the town.
He mentioned that FC over the period ,has given employment at the Mole National Park , to young people in the area and will employ more and further collaborate with the Chief of Busunu, Busunuwura Monasa Jonokpowu II, for the protection of the Park.
The Chief Executive referred to a stakeholder consultation FC had with 8 communities along the Mole National Park to identify their issues and said all the necessary interventions will be made to resolve them.
Mr Allotey mentioned that all issues raised by the people of Busunu will be addressed to foster a more stronger relationship with FC.
Mr Allotey made these statements when he and the Executive Management Team of FC paid a courtesy call on the chiefs and people of Busunu.
The CE and his entourage were at Busunu also to mourn with Mr. Nyadia Sulemana Nelson, the Deputy Chief Executive of FC ,who lost his mother , Dulugu Wurche Achulo Sulemana, a few weeks ago.
Busunuwura Monasa Jonokpowu II was grateful to Mr. Allotey and his team for the visit and presented a gift of a 3 -piece smock to him.
