The Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Mr. John Allotey, has urged all staff of the Commission to take some rest during the upcoming holidays whilst enjoying the Christmas festivities because the coming year is going to be a year of action for the Commission.
Mr. Allotey made this statement at the Chief Executive’s End of Year Briefing and Staff Recognition Awards Ceremony which was held in Tamale.
The CE’s End of Year briefing and awards ceremony is an annual event to honour hardworking staff and encourage others to strive for more and also an avenue for the CE to give an account of the Commission’s performance for the year In review.
This year, 18 deserving staff across the country of the Commission were awarded for the outstanding performances of duties and extra efforts they put in their work.
In his address, Mr. John Allotey briefed staff and all present on some achievements the Commission chalked up in the year 2022 and also gave insights into the operations and activities of the Commission for the year.
He congratulated the eighteen awardees, commended all staff of FC for performing exceptionally well in their various fields this year and urged them to keep up the good works and not relent on their oars because there is more work to be done.
Mr. Allotey wished staff a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
