The Forestry Commission Training Centre (FCTC) has commenced its paid-for short courses ,with a first Effective Report Writing and Presentation Skills course , at FCTC, Akyawkrom.
The training, which lasted for three days, was aimed to equip participants with essential skills to enhance their ability to inscribe communicative reports and acquire effective presentation skills.
After participants have been equipped with the types and structure of Effective Report Writing , they visited FCTC’s Arboretum for tree identification, a view of the Centre’s Ranch, the beehive installation centre and were also given an overview of the management of the 1.5 hectares arboretum to gather information for their report writing.
Back in the Sir John Hall, participants were taken through step-by-step processes for structuring and delivering of presentations. Participants were taught how to write clear and concise reports, considering their audiences.
Participants attested that the course had provided them with valuable tools that had enhanced their capabilities in effective report writing and presentation skills, and also improved their confidence in public speaking.
Hence, they urged colleagues in other disciplines and divisions to seek such practical training from FCTC and equipped themselves with knowledge to efficiently improve their work delivering.
At the end of the 3 day course, trainees were given a certificate of completion which was presented to them by the Director of the Forestry Commission Training Centre, Dr Andy Osei Okrah.
