All evidence available indicates that the Nkwanta District is very rich in game and wildlife. Kyabobo is blessed with beautiful scenic views and great many waterfalls.

LOCATION

Located in the Volta Region of Ghana, Nkwanta district is the northerly conservation area. It is a hilly region with heights up to about 750m. The park is 130km away from the regional capital and10km from the Nkwanta, the district capital.

SIZE

The Park is about 360km2.

VEGETATION

It is situated in the dry semi-deciduous zones, it has savannah at lower levels and montane forest higher up the slopes.

KEY FAUNA

Fauna associated with this park include baboons, buffalo, warthogs, duikers, bongo, waterbuck, red river hog and a variety of birds
