Selected staff of the Timber Industry Development Division (TIDD) have undergone a 5-day training on the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS). GIFMIS is a system that seeks to ensure accuracy in financial management. The purpose of the training was to elevate financial management standards within the Timber Industry.
The 5-day training sought to immerse participants in the intricacies of the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) and its pivotal role in refining financial processes. It was also aimed at equipping the selected staff with the necessary skills to effectively utilise GIFMIS in their daily operations.
The Deputy Finance Manager, TIDD, Mr. Sampson Abugri in his opening remarks, welcomed participants and expressed his excitement to witness the growth and progress that will unfold during the training. He was looking forward to witnessing the remarkable strides they will take together on this enlightening training.
The program was meticulously structured to cover essential aspects of GIFMIS, including system navigation, financial reporting, budgeting nuances, procurement workflows, inventory management, system integration insights, and troubleshooting strategies.
Participants engaged in hands-on sessions, practical exercises, and interactive workshops to enhance their proficiency in utilizing GIFMIS effectively.
At the end of the training, participants were equipped with a profound understanding of GIFMIS, financial reporting accuracy, budget vigilance, procurement efficiency, and control within the Timber Industry.
