The Bamboo and Rattan Unit (BRU)of Forestry Commission in collaboration with the International Bamboo and Rattan Organisation (INBAR) has organised a capacity building session on Bamboo Cultivation, Fire Management and Scientific Harvesting. This programme falls under the” Inter-Africa Bamboo Small Holder Farmers Livelihood Development Programme”. The objective of the session is to train middle and high level government policy makers and forest managers to build their capacity in the management and protection of planted bamboo under various government restoration interventions such as the Green Ghana Programme.
