The Bamboo and Rattan Unit (BRU) of Forestry Commission in collaboration with the International Network for Bamboo& Rattan Organisation (INBAR) has organised training for bamboo and rattan actors within the small and medium enterprises in the Greater Accra Region. About 120 artisans took part in the training which focused on building the capacity and skills of various target groups to establish enterprises as well as produce high quality bamboo and rattan products. It was also to guide participants in securing the needed capital or finances for business set-ups and management as well as ensuring job security. The training also seeks to support youth and women in the bamboo industry.
