The Bamboo and Rattan Unit (BRU) of the Forestry Commission has paid a visit to Akyem Apapam Central Nursery and Atiwa Forest Bambusetum. Madam Faustina Baffour- Awuah, Manager of BRU, visited the sites to inspect ongoing work. The nursery, which was established in 2021, currently has about 176,000 seedlings from six different species. The Bambusetum covers a land size of 6.5 hectares and it was established in 2019.
Madam Baffour-Awuah congratulated staff at the central nursery for the good work done and advised them to continue with their hard work so the Unit can achieve its target of 250,000 seedlings.
