The Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Mr. John Allotey, has embarked on a 1 – day official visit to the Volta Region to assess the Region’s readiness for the 2022 Edition of the Green Ghana Day, slated for Friday, June 10, 2022.
Mr. Allotey was accompanied by the Director of Operations, Plantations, Mr. Hugh Brown; Manager of Corporate Affairs & Media Relations, Mrs. Joyce Ofori Kwafo; Volta Regional Manager of the Forest Services Division, Forestry Commission, Mr. B. Manso-Howard, and other management staff of the Region.
The Chief Executive called on the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Archibald Letsa; the Paramount Chief of Avatime who is also the President of Avatime Traditional Council, Osie Adza Tekpor VII; and the Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu South, Hon. Maxwell Lugudor.
He also visited the FSD seedling nurseries of Ho and Denu to inspect seedlings available for the Green Ghana Day, and expressed his satisfaction at seedlings raised so far. That he said, puts the Region in a position of hit and even exceed the set target.
