The Deputy Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Honourable Martha Kwayie-Manu, embarked on a working tour to Western North Region to ascertain the preparedness of the Region towards the Green Ghana Day 2022. She was in the company of the Assistant Regional Manager, Mr. Opoku Antwi, Mr. Abdullah Ali, Enchi District Manager and Mr. Yaw Boateng, Assistant District Manager of Juaboso. The Region’s target is to plant 1,500,000 seedlings.
Hon. Kwayie-Manu visited Enchi and Juaboso Forest Districts which are set to plant 400,000 seedlings each for GGD 2022.
The team paid a courtesy visit to the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Samuel Adu Gyamfi, to solicit for his support during GGD. The team inspected Achimfo Reclamation Site and Krokosua Forest Reserve which are some of the planting sites for GGD 2022. Pegging was ongoing at these designated sites. The team ended the day by inspecting the Enchi Central Nursey and seedlings raised included Cedrela, Cassia, Ofram, Milletia, Mahogany and Teak
