The Retirees Association of the Forestry Commission (RAFCOM) has inducted new executives for the Greater Accra Chapter.
Mr. Nyadia Sulemana Nelson, Deputy Chief Executive of Forestry Commission (FC), represented the Chief Executive, Mr. John Allotey, at the event. He mentioned that he was happy to be at the meeting because it was an opportunity for him to meet former employees of the Commission. He promised to be a liaison between the Association and the Chief Executive. Mr. Nelson stated that all issues that need to be addressed should be presented to him and he will work tirelessly to make sure the issues are resolved.
The newly inducted Executives were:
Dr. Kwakye Ameyaw- President
Mrs. Mary Ashon Mensah- 1st Vice President
Mr. Alex Akwoviah- 2nd Vice President
Mrs. Vivian Nuhu- Treasurer
Mr. Benjamin Asante- Secretary
Mr. Kwesi Dada- Organiser
Mr. Atta Paidoo- Ex- Officio member.
Mr. Nelson congratulated the executives for accepting the positions to serve and assured them that the doors of FC are always opened to RAFCOM. He admonished that executives should come up with business ideas which will be a source of income for members.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President of the Association, Dr. Kwakye Ameyaw, assured that he and his executives will do their best to manage the affairs of the Association to the satisfaction of all members.
